Who here watches TOP GEAR ( the BBC show )

I am gone for a few weeks and can't find it.

Does anyone know if it was moved, relocated or dropped please let me know.

Thanks
Ross

Their email:
The "Top Gear" show was not "taken off the air" but rather ran its pattern.
It is being revamped for a U.S. audience and will return later this year.
Look for it in December.

FWIW...

great, so they will make it shitty and it will be like all the other sunday morning car and truck shows. top gear in it's current format is perfect.

My guess is they will add a female, since they're just 3 blokes as it is. Hopefully won't mess with the wit, the "competitions", etc....

Super so we can expect a weekly rundown of what's new in nascar and in depth interviews with rusty wallace and co. :( - speed channel is bad enough without having to adulterate Top Gear.

for the last fucking time, most americans do not understand the british humour in the show/ do not care about the actual good cars that get shown i.e. aston martins, land rovers.

just download the show.

Yeah I really liked the format. I like to see cars that we don't get here.
and being canadian I love there humor. I really hope that they don't fuck it up... (pardon my french) like OLN did the DAKAR.

thanks for the update.

I keep checking the news groups for the bbc version of top gear. (much better than the version TLC showed). I have 4 episodes from season 6, the last one kinda indicates it was the season finale. I still want to find earlier episodes. I hope they don't americanize it, it will really suck. If you guys can, find one on the news groups, or I'll post em on my ftp server, you'll see a real difference between the hack job the US got and the BBC version.

In a country of 300 million, there is probably enough that 'get it'.

You could always get a subscription to ExpressVu, the Canadian DTH satellite provider.

BBC Canada has just expanded Top Gear to a full hour, and BBC World Service plays old episodes several times each week.

In fact, ther was a half page article on the 'new' show in last Saturdays Toronto Star.

top gear season six concluded in august in the uk. work on the new season should be done soon. however the shows ran on the discovery channel are a season behind. so you have a whole season of goodness left. trust me, season 6 is the best yet ;)

ARe those Bittorrent things safe? I'm downloading the first series 3 ep right now, but I don't want to crash my computer or anything. Also, how long should it take?

My introduction to downloading movies off the web...hope I don't go to jail for trying to get my favourite on-hiatus programme!

no they aren't safe at all. after the second one is downloaded, your computer will burst into flames and your house and everything in it will be burned down to the ground.
