Where is the cabin filter?

Or is there one. I just went on an extended trip through the desert and every once and a while when I turn on the AC, dust blows through. I wanted to clean out the filter, or get a new one. Any ideas. I already blew compressed air through the vents to clean them out.

Thanks Rich

There isn't a cabin filter if you're talking about on a Disco. I find that if you run in the recirculation mode you won't get as much dust in the cabin. Then when you come off the trail, open all the windows, turn on the fan to high and get up to highway speed, it will all go away.

Actually, there is an air filter on D1s: it's the foam crap along the back edge of the wiper valance that always rots away. Air is drawn thru there, then under the R side of it, into the ventilation system. To get new stuff there, you have to buy the whole valance, or source something aftermarket.

Thanks.

Appreciate the response. I wondered what those strange things were for. Half mine are torn off or missing.

Replaced the filter in mine with foam cut to size and coated it with foam air filter oil. Since then there has been a definate improvement in keeping dust out. I didn't use any special foam just some I had lying around. My original foam was crumbling and missing in places so it was probably letting in more dust than it should have been.
