I fly around the world sampling as many different beers as possible. Sometimes I get to haul these guys around!

Only an Air Force guy could get away with walking outside with his cover hanging out of his pocket like that. ;)

I miss the Army. These days, I sit in an office and lead a team of network engineers for an online retailer. What I wouldn't give to be back in the uniform...and those new Army uniforms are sweet! I don't miss the crappy pay, hurry-up-and-wait, the piles of paperwork...

I am a stand-up economist.

Ex:

If there's an underwriter all alone in a forest, and there's nobody there to hear him, and he makes a decision......... is he still wrong ?

Did Rube Goldberg design this workflow ? Where's the chicken?

Your projection is chicken-shit, yet you're trying to serve it up to me as chicken-salad.

Well that's kind of like saying, if we had some ham we could make ham & eggs,,, if only we had some eggs.

I'm a manufacturing engineer - sounds pretty boring but I get to climb under, on and into F-22 fighters pretty much every day plus see them take off and go straight up for about 5000 feet when the air force takes delivery. Airplanes are coool...

That F-22 is one sexy airplane.

airframe 53K

Good to know. A lot of Marines are excited about the 53K; I know I can't wait to see it. Sikorsky was good to me while I was in the Corps. 2000 flight hours on your products and it was all good: CH-53 A/D/E, VH-60N. After the Corps, I work Flight Text at Pax on the SH / HH - 60B/F/H; then along came the V-22...LOL.

We have some really good Marines here that were crew chiefs (and a few pilots too) in the old A, D, and E models that are invaluable for their knowledge of the old aircraft and areas that need improvement. We quit making the E before I started so there's no production line to go check for reference but it helps to talk to guys that used to fly and/or work on them daily.

I develop orthopaedic implants for traumatic injuries...plates, screws, nails, etc at a major orthopaedic company. I also do research/testing on orthopaedic products independently.

well...im an rn and work on a medical/surgical/telemetry floor in a hospital setting! it is a very rewarding job at times. i have done many many good things for ppl. however, the medical field just plain sucks ass! i spend more than 50% of my time proving (on paper) what i have done for patients! hippa and joint comission have ruined the medical field (at least nursing) imho!

i had intended on attaining some experience in nursing...then going back to school to become a physicians assistant....but that plan has changed! im 30 yrs old and still trying to figure out what i want to be when i grow up!

so....currently seeking new career! any ideas...throw em at me!

Not sure that I am a career couselor, but I am interested in the telemetry you referenced. I also have become frustrated with the new hippa guidelines. It is imperative that I see our products implanted and hippa has made it very difficult to do so, but I have availed. I went through new eemployee orientation at a local hospital (eventhough I am not an employee of that hospital) and have been provided an ID badge.

I work at a hospital doing rehab physical therapy - which means I make people do exercises and walk. I do the exercises with my patients to help motivate them and they think it's funny when I call it "Jenarobics." I did the math today and figured I probably do about 320 gluteal squeezes a day. You'd think I'd have an ass by now? Oh noooooo, still flat as a fucking pancake. :banghead: In January I get to rotate back to nursing where I will get to make a lot of beds and wipe a lot of ass. The pay is absolutely terrible, the drive is long and horrendous...but ya know something...I truly do love my job. For now......

Jen after 5 months in ER/ICU/ACUTE and IN-patient rehab, and 5 more months in out-patient rehab and counting, I have to say that I admire you, I am now walking just with my AFO's thanks to people like you... I can't think of a more fullfilling job in the planet making teaching a close second, the world is fucked if we don't give you a better pay than doctors!

thanks again.

Simon.

I do sales for a record company. That photo was taken back in 1992, when Ozzy had decided he wasn't going to tour anymore (yeah right!) and he was doing a "No More Tours" Farewell Tour. Since it was going to be his last tour, he was taking the time to meet retail, radio and fans to say thanks. I got to spend the better part of three days with him doing radio and "meet and greets" when he was in my market which was the Carolinas at the time. That photo was taken after the very last meet and greet and we were saying goodbye. Before I left I asked him if I could have a photo, he ran over and gave me that funny hug and the promoter snapped a photo. It does look funny, but it's one of my favorite photos.

Speaking of Sharon, she was with us the first day, then had to fly back to LA for business. When they were together they were inseparable. Even after she left, he was constantly on the cell phone with her. It was almost like he couldn't function with out her.

Another thing I remember about that tour, was that Ozzy really took the time to meet with problem kids. He would really lecture them about doing well in school and listening to their parents or gaurdians. I remember him saying how he had really screwed up many times in his life and he was very thankful for the people who had turned him around. I thought that was pretty cool of him.
