If you follow one of the natural lines of the bumper, it looks fine. As all have said, just use tape as a guide, and a dremmel will work fine. If you want to get really fancy, after you sand down the edges, you could use some touch up paint on them to make it look much more "stock." But, unless you are looking for a cut bumper on a truck, you don't really notice it.
Chad,
Is your signature (Who's going to baby sit the babysitter?) from a lyric by Jello Biafra's post DK project Lard? If so, that brings back memories of my youth. If not, pay no attention.
Sorry to hijack your thread Jesse.

Oh yea... I used an angle grinder with a narrow wheel on my disco. It looks much like the one in the tech section.
Just went out in the 17F weather to go and trim my bumper. MAN this is how it sould have come from the factory. Now the bumper line from front to back line up nice and you get @ 7" of space where you can approach higher stuff. I did it with a fresh razor blade and it cut like butter and you are in better control of where you want the cut to go. The best Free mod I think you could do!
For the 95 D1 you remove the middle POS that would house the fog lamps if you had them and then trim to your liking.
If you remove the fake bull bar youll have two screw holes and probly two nice rub marks on the painted part of the bumper. It is only secured by two phillips head screws so you dont need special tool to get it off
