My point was, Gem, if I have to break it to you, that a person who off-roads his vehicle regularly and on difficult terrain, not having broken engine or transmission mounts is similar to winning a lottery.
Jack called you on that, and you decided to have a poll, in a thinly veiled manner.
If you wanted to get some tech info, you'd have posted it in the tech section.

gotta laugh:rofl: breaking shit on a truck is not a merit badge...

90% of the time that a newb breaks shit is because the driver doesn't follow the advice of the more experienced ones...

motor mounts break because of constant flexing that comes with a shitload of off roading. It's actually one of the things you check on a on/off road truck to see if it's been beat to shit...

Maybe someone should design some poly mounts. Then you could rip the bolts right out of that aluminum block.

Actually, it's been such a common issue with V8 jeeps, that upgraded mounts (that will stay together, albeit with slack) became the only replacement that parts stores carried.
There's no reason why rover mounts can't be made the same way.
Get two bolts, weld two fender washers and two links of chain to them, and pot them in polyurethane.

Nomar has a set on his RRC, the older ones. Seem to be worth it if you go thru them. I like QT stuff myself, I am eyeballin' a rear diffguard.

Yep, I went through 3 stock motor mounts in a little over a year I think, then switched to QTs. They will outlast the truck...
