As a F1 fan I have never much cared for uncle Bernie.
2 years they pulled the Brickyard and last year they pulled Montreal, Bastards!

Is the end near ? Kind of hard to have racing when 8 major teams
have no interest in racing with your organization.

I may have to watch Nascar...............................................:(

How much of Indy was Bernie and how much of that was Tony George? I personally dont know, but you can bet one had as much to do with it as the other.
As far as Montreal, i am sad it went away too, but that track surface was horrible! I personally enjoyed the track layout very much and it was cool to see how the teams dealt with the high brake forces and temps. If F1 is the finest showcase for engineering marvels and technology it should have a track/course/host city/etc. that is also just as good.
Is the end near? who knows. But it certianly is going in a different direction in this age post-schumacher. Lots more mid-east and far east stuff going on at the expense of the classic and traditional european races is the thing that really pisses me off.

I still love it. Hard to find races times on speed and they offer little coverage compared to other types:(

DVR is your friend. record series BAM. ok its not fool proof due to the dman FOX coverage of a few races but it will get you close. i still have all of turkey to watch, i just finished the grandest of all the grand prix, monaco, a few nites ago.

here is my hope, KERS rules are relaxed a little for next year so more teams will put time effort and money into that system, and in a couple of years after the economy "stabilizes" more races will be back in the traditional summer european style format. oh and also i hope they dont regulate engine performance/aero performance into "the nascrap car of the future" style. I am also excited to see how the semi-American team does next year.
i think everyone will have more even and level cars next year and i expect we will see more familiar teams back on top of the leaderboard. Although i must say i am so happy to see Brawn GP doing so well.

now if only WRC would come back to speed.
