damnnn are those the 9.00 XZLs? Are you going to put them on your Extreme disco...I think stock gears can handle them...

OK, no new gears then. I'll probably just order the RT 12' body lift, give the fenders a little trim, adjust the bump stops and call it good.

If the guys who drive these things in the open-pit mines can't break the diff, I'd feel safe with 'em on my D2.

Those tires are made by Goodyear, BTW. Any guesses on cost? More per tire than a new RR?

?Yes Greg , my truck is stock and yes , I have used most of those methods to keep it that way???

I can bolt on a set of 38s and run that same trail and get through without the use of a winch. Its how you drive , not what you drive.?

Yeah, I was exaggerating, but I wanted to see if you were paying attention. :)

If you guys can stand putting your trip off 'til early '06, I'd love to go with you. Seriously, just let me know. Timing is everything, and next year just won't work because of our pending birth in Feb.

No diffs on those trucks. They have electric motors at the wheels. The engine is just a big generator. The tires run around 5-6 grand typicaly.

it isn't widely know that a motor-wheel was Ferdinand Porsche's invention - maybe his most important contribution to engineering (his tanks sucked).

It just occurred to me that the photo is from Vegas. I think that structure in front of the truck is that broken Monorail.

Congrats Greg on the upcoming birth! This is #2, right? Keep in mind that Marc has an "open" Moab trip scheduled Nov 11-14th.

what are they going to use a truck like that for in the middle of vegas? When the fill it it cant drive over the pavement or it will crush it.

Yes Curtis, this will be our second girl. :) We're very excited about the birth as we were told that it wasn't an option for us. Of course, we found that out after we adopted our first daughter. A real blessing, that's for sure.

Being that I was just in Moab in May/June, I don't think I could swing another this year. ;)
