winch in norcal

hey guys, just wondering if i should get a winch for my disco i live in norcal and i plan on using the disco for some trial driving in the sierras, nevada desert. how often do you use yours,in the past ive never found much use for one but i didnt have a disco then and i just didnt take my old truck to places where i would need one,most trips will be in the spring through fall so i dont expect alot for mud.

The one time you need it and don't have you'll wish you would have done it. My old saying is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I use my winch about every other time I go out on a harder trail. May not be for you rig but the guy you come across on the trail whos stuck will like it. very handy tool!!

If you wheel by yourself, definitely!

If you wheel with others, its not as critical, but eventually you will want one, because you'll be first to attempt an obstacle and need to pull yourself through, or the guys with the winch are two trucks in front, and its a hassle to get to you.

I agree if you wheel by yourself definitely get one. You'll take it for granted until you need it then you'll be very glad you got one. Trust me
