I might have a good deal on a Superwinch Husky 8000. Would any of you say that that would be a bad choice for a D1???

just get it. i picked up a superwinch x9 for 300 and love it

If you can pick up a Husky 8000 for a good price I would get it, its a sweet winch. And a 8000# worm gear winch should be fine on a disco...

But your mounting options are limited (it won't mount to a ARB or something). RTE bumpers can fit it though, but you have to tell them its for that winch when you order it.

Already have a winch bumper made for the Husky 10 so that is not a problem.
