Before I went digging and pulling crap apart I figured I best post this here first. My window is down, and obviously not connected to any thing anymore. The motor makes a clicking noise and the window you can pull up and down freely all by it self. Is there ANYTHING I should know first before pulling the door panel and looking for what crap part I need to replace next?

Thanks all

The white plastic wheel at the end of the regulator arm is probably broken. If you remove the door panel and look down into the door skin you will probably find the broken wheel sitting there as a confirmation.

mine has been broke for about 6 months now, if you take a little screwdriver or a pen or something and stick it in the little hole in the bottom of your door and push up on the rail while someone else hits the window up button it should un jam and go up, thats what I do and it always works, just remember next time you put it down to stop it before it goes all the way...

My '96 Disco just had the same problem, and as previously mentioned, it was the little teflon disc that had disintegrated. I went to my local auto parts store and found one in the "Help!" aisle that roughly fit the track (it was made for a Ford). I trimmed it down, greased it up, and it works like a champ. All for $4.39.

I hope this works,
Josh
