Atlantic births sells genuine windshield cowls. It's $300 but it'll last another 15-20 years. I have one in the garage waiting to go on mine.

Took me about 6 months to find one at a salvage yard. No cracks but still had to paint it with bed liner since it was faded. Unfortunately they are hard to find with no cracks and buying new may be your only option.

LRDirect and John Craddock both show them in stock. L8 has it on their eBay page.

from LR direct, which means not in stock ^

Not sure if Craddock's means that the part is still available, or if they have it available for shipment

I usually go to Land Rover Classic parts web site. I went on there looking for that GEMS front cover and they have a box you click to be notified when available. It’s kind of alarming how much stuff is no longer available. One of the alpine window seals is no longer available. I had to really dig for some rivets that hold a window regulator on a P38. Had to go with a BritPart window regulator. I could have gotten a genuine regulator if I would have been willing to pay over $400. It’s getting bad.

Mine is cracked to hell as well, and after gluing it back together once or twice already, I think I'm going to get more aggressive this time. I plan to remove it fully, clean the whole thing, glue all the cracks back together, then basically fiberglass the thing. I figure I can run a strip of fiberglass fabric along the entire back section, then epoxy that in.

Eric at AB has them inbound next month so I will get one then. I deal with Will on a lot, bought my last one from him but most are so brittle as to not be worth the effort.
