This is too far. :) Dude I just spent the past week + 2 days at The Cove. My ulcer is killing me from the stress of people that have NO knowledge of how to drive a manual + mud + steep slopes, etc, etc. My pubic hair is falling out!

Besides I am heading to the Upperville Point-To-Point.

Sounds like the spot i just got back from this past weekend, is it past the riverish type stream? And the dam is on the right as you are heading to the camping field?

Can't make this one Daniel, but you have something in the works for April don't you?

Nevermind, I checked ROAV. May 24 is what I was thinking.

I will be meeting at the Union Springs Dam at 10:00AM. I plan to be behind switzer by noon.

Another group will be meeting at the Sheetz gas station off Rt.33 in Harrisonburg at 9am.

CB Channel 4.
I'll also monitor the N4RAG repeater. The info for this repeater is as follows:
Freq 147.225+
Input 147.825
PL Tone of 131.8
This repeater is located on Lairds Knob within the Valley near the resort. It's also linked to Charlottesville on 146.895

The clean-up went really well. We removed 18 bags of trash, 2-tires, and a couch from the Union Springs Dam area.

Later in the afternoon, 5 of us headed into Switzer to do some trail management and more clean-up. We removed about 2 more bags of trash and a tire. We also moved some obsticals into the way of a few problem areas, mainly trees. We fully understand that the trees can be cut out of the way, but this will at least slow them down a bit while the ground is so soft this time of year.

3 of us camped last night. It got down to about 23-degrees where we were at, so it was a little nippy once the sun went down. It wasn't that bad, though.

I got a few pics, but not many.

I had a great time and glad to help out the VA trails. Hope that BFG holds air for the lucky new owner. It was also nice to put faces and names to dweb people, great to meet everyone finally. Looking forward to getting out that way again soon.
Thanks for letting me share the campsite.
