Great fish!
The natives are tearing it up here. Started at the lake today but since I was getting a 15 mph steady wind (not conducive to fly fishing!) and I was only getting the small ones I figured I'd hit the streams with the 3 weight.
I took this little beauty in a plunge pool on the Skidmore Fork in the GWNF.
The fishings been so good the last few days I'm actually thinking of blowing off work tommorrow!

damn musky, i am jealous.

i have been badly wanting to take a walleye trip somewhere to stock up the freezer. i f-kin love walleye.

serve beer battered and pan fried in peanut oil over an open fire with good beer and friends. throw in some breaded/fried home-made pickles and morels and you have yourself a widow maker on a plate....mmmmmm boy!

go ahead, its high in hdl's ;)

tight lines and full bellies!

I cannot wait to get back out for some Walleye. I caught a couple of Sauger in the River the other day but nothing is real great just yet. The river has been flooded and none of the lakes have good ice. So I wait.:banghead:

I have vowed to buy another boat this year. I sold my last boat and I have not fished much since. If I get my way I will buy a 27' cabin cruiser and dock it at Lake Erie. If I don't I'll probably end up with another pontoon boat at a local lake.

Nope...musky are out of season and I being the muskyman am very careful with them so it was caught lifted from the hole unhooked and released in all of about 30 seconds.

it was about 48" long and so fat that it barely fit through the 9" hole...this time of year that puts it at about 35lbs. In late spring post spawn that same fish might weigh 27-28 lbs only.
