I'm a little confused about what you're asking. Are you trying to get your speedometer to work? Did Disco's even have a cable? I thought they just had the VSS on the Tbox.

I don't have RAVE anymore, so this is from Topix...

The Vehicle Speed Sensor (X190) sends a signal to the speedometer in the form of voltage pulses. The pulses are filtered by a Vehicle Speed Sensor Buffer inside the speedometer. The voltage alternates between battery voltage and 0 volts 6 times per wheel revolution. The speed sensor signal is also sent to the Cruise Control ECU (Z121), the Service Reminder Unit (NAS) (Z126), the Multifunction Unit (MFU) (Z148) (Persian Gulf States), and the Engine Control Module (Z132).

I think he's saying that he accidentally cut the harness off for the VSS to the TC and doesn't know where to look to splice it back in.

I know the colors, I can't find the routing described in the ETM. It shows everything except where the wires are physically located so can find their origin.

The wires would have run up into the main loom at the firewall on the way to the ECU under the passenger dash. Don't know if that helps at this point. Is the whole fuel injection loom and ECU out at this point?

I don't understand what you're asking but the transmission/ t-case wiring uses c105 in the etm, on the truck it *should* be located next to the brake master cyl its a 13 pin plug black casing with a yellow face, identical to the one plugged into your abs unit. My truck has always been a 5 speed so yours might be a little bit different but my v8 and TDi gearbox loom were the same, you should just need to bypass the neutral lockout switch with an auto.

That actually does help a lot. That's where I cut pretty much everything, so as long as I can find the signal wire in the loom I should be all set.

Is it possible that the CDL and reverse light switch comes from as well?
