Tire mfg's list the approved rim width for each size and style of tire they make. From memory I think the Wolf wheel has a 6 1/2" rim, but I might be wrong.

Exactly what Tom said. The height of the tire is also something that gets taken into account on manufactures charts because its going to effect the max width you can place on a rim.

I have found that the rim isn't the limiting factor but rather the leaf springs on a Series. A 12.5" wide tire was just too wide and kept rubbing. Didn't like the idea of adjusting out the stops and loosing turning radius so I went to 10.5 tires. I have 35x10.5 TSLs on my Wolfs. Perfect fit on the rim but still have some body panel clearance issues.
The 32x9x16 would be about a perfect fit for a stock Series.
