Kinda reminds me of a Gen 1 Montero with the round head lights. A set of black JW's would have gone well with that setup. It's not the classic D1/D2 look, but it's not bad either.

Off road 1 time in its life, and did amazingly well for stock everything at MAR.

The lugs and the roof rack are the first things I noticed.

What's wrong with the rack? With a wife, two dogs, and camping for days that rack is a life saver. Everything goes up there so I can travel in comfort inside.

The lugs...yeah, I need to replace those at some point. But they work.

Agree 100% on having a roof rack. I just wouldn't have cut up a Safety Devices rack (seemingly to mount a RTT).

Yeah it came that way when I bought it. I tried the RTT for awhile, in Montana camping for days, it was fine. Out East, where I mostly camp overnight and drink beer and have to pee it was worthless and I sold it.

Are those frowned upon cause they don't aesthetically match steelies, or because they have the wrong seat & are thus unsafe for steelies?

Has to be aesthetics? I've driven 10,000 miles with them, highways at 80 mph, dirt logging roads, etc, etc and I've never had to tighten them...

It's aesthetics. And for the love, if you're switching to steel wheels, get the lug nuts for them. Not doing that is akin to the Jeepers that run 37's and don't spring to replace the 29" spare.

I think the point is it's just half assed not to put on the correct lugs and it looks bad to boot

Far from mint but priced right for someone with welding skills. The pics were looking good until the one showing the rear.
