It's the kinder/gentler parenting and complete lack of discipline in alot of cases. Or the one parent family where that one parent is working 2 jobs to keep food on the table, and doesn't have time to be a parent.

These kids need a good whoopin, and about 13 weeks on Parris Island. A perfect dose of reality!

Todays kids dont get an ass beating like I did.

Agree w/ both.... I didn't cut up at school, because no matter how bad it was at school, I knew I'd catch it worse when I got home...

And, dad was at Parris Island a year or two after the Ribbon Creek incident.... and I was there 30 years later.... raised in my house under my dad, having a PI mentality, I felt like a little kid once I was there on the yellow footprints, and even moreso when I was there on line when the DI's broke loose on everyone in the squadbay at the end of Receiving... guys bawling, and I was feeling like giggling like I was 10 again....

But.... I know a WHOLE lot of adults that would be more conscientious and not as self-absorbed if they'd learned a bit more of respect for others and teamwork......

FWIW...

Correct on all fronts, well said Devil Dog! PI for everyone.

I guess I just knew early on not to fool around. I don't ever remember a ass beating, but then I knew to do as I was told/asked, not mess with other peoples stuff, and act right, then there would be no problems.

As far as the adults above, they're raising kids now:eek: :ack:

Semper Fi:patriot:

PS: If I'm ever in Kingsport, I know how to find you and I'll bring the beer.

will not happen. kids know have "rights" and will press charges or sue if they get the leather belt. child abuse. :(

Hello, plublicity is what they are looking for. Belts make no imprint.

Working for the handicapped for a while might help.
