Only issue I haven't solved on 95 Disco is the dead battery. Started by dieing over 3-4 days. Got a new battery and problem cleared up for 2 mos and returned. Got alternator rebuilt and no trouble for two months, then returned. Autozone replaced battery under warranty as tester showed "bad battery". Two months later and I'm dieing over the span of the work day.

After jumping off, the aftermarket voltmeter shows 13.8 volts at first down to 13.2 volts after some driving. At shut down voltmneter shows 12.1 volts. Come back 8 hrs later and 11.2 or less volts that drops when starter contacted to "Lo Voltage" and won't crank.

The obvious is another bad battery but I took it to the tester and it tested as good. If I bench charge overnite the battery lasts all day and into the next. Makes me think I'm not chargin genough. Is it possible the rebuilder used the wrong regulator or something? My voltmeter is hooked the cig lighter and I don't know if that voltage charge rate is correct.

Some Disco genius please come save me, this s--- is getting old! Next step will be battery posts on the outside of the fender(or maybe on the freaking dashboard in case of rain) to jump to cause I'm wearing out the hood latch and prop rod!
