I am supposed to leave for a trip tomorrow morning and am having terrible electrical issues. 1997 D1 with 82K. Did a keyword search to avoid posting an already "beaten to death" thread but I am now panicking. Battery is being drained in about 6-8 hrs. I placed a charger on the battery and got enough juice to start the truck. I took the Disco to Autozone and had the battery and alt. tested. Everything tested out OK. Brought the truck home and parked in the garage overnight. The next day the battery was dead. One question, when I placed the battery on the charger, after a while the alternator felt quite warm considering the engine was ice cold. Could this be the "bad diode on the alternator" issue that I found from reading previous posts regarding battery drain?
