Rodney,

I've done it- couldn't have been easier... what's your question??? The Discos come pre-wired with a plug behind the passenger rear tail light, and a knock-out at in the body...

I bought the trailering kit from AB, cost me about $110, but it comes with the harness, the receiver slug and the ball.

Simple plug-and-play...

Rodney,

If you can really get your hands on a genuine LR trailer wiring kit, receiver slug and ball for $110 that is pretty cheap. When I was looking around the price for the LR trailer wiring adapter was $150 - $250. I opted for the less expensive solution of a 4-pin adapter from NAPA.

See my response at the bottom of this post:

That hit the nail on the head...I am using a standerd plug and could not get the break lights and turn lights working correctly because when i put the break light wire with the turn light it would fead back to the truck and make all parking light come on when break was pressed.....so it looks like i need the tail light converter...I had all the wires marked using a trusty wiring diagram, but the trailer only had 4 wirs(tail, turn rt trun lft, ground) and the Dscvr has 5 (tail, trun rt, trun lft, break, gound).......so off to NAPA I go...

Thanks,
Rod

P.S. dosnt saving 120 bucks feel good....

In case a trailer short causes a fuse to blow, is there a particular trailer fuse, or would a short blow out a variety of fuses? Anyone had this happen?

I'm glad that it helped, Rodney. I'm still learning all of this stuff and have gotten a lot of good information from this BB. It's nice to be able to help someone else.
