After being stopped in my 96 disco by the local constables 3 times in a week for running without tail lights, I figured I would search out the bad fuse, and end the problem. This is what I found: All fuses, including engine compartment are good. My dash lights are out. Headlights work. My clock and it's light is functioning. Hazard lights work. When I depress the second dash switch down on the right side of the instrument panel (I really don't know what it is for . . .), the red light lites on the switch, and the lowest of my tail lights light, but only when the headlights have been actuated. Brake lights work, but only with the ignition switch "on".
Is there a lighting module that could be bad, or the headlight switch itself? How about a way of trouble shooting the problem? I will appreciate any directions I can get.
