How does the exterior mirror come out of the housing on a Disco I? I don't want to break more than what is broken. Thanks in advance

I just did mine. The mailbox came out of no where! The impact of mine actualy hit it out. If you get a screwdriver in the side of the car and push the mirror away from the car. It should pop out then you just ease it out. Bad news is landrover don't sell just the glass. It's a heated unit so you have to cough up $80 bucks at the dealer.

Your right with the install and removal. But you can just get the Genuine glass. I usually sell the RH for $46 and the LH for $23. Your dealer knows this, unless it's one of the newbies. Your dealer just likes selling the assy for $$.
