Actually, yes.
Sometimes, winches do crap out on you, so it's another layer of independence.
Also, sometimes it's good to just jack up the back end out of a hole, then give a little sideways nudge to get it out of a rut.... NOT that I'm advocating that ANYONE EVER try that, that'd be dangerous!
Also, if you have sliders, a better bumper, or some good jacking point, and especially with a lift, it's nice to have the taller jack when on uneven ground for changing tires.
