Has anyone had a bad experience with Rover Connection, or is it just me. I ordered some merchandise with a credit card which was billed instantly, but I have been waiting for months for the items to be sent. I e-mailed them but got no reply. It was a small order but none the less, I was charged for stuff I never received. If other people have had this problem, please let me know so we can get the word out not to do business with them.

try calling them, I ordered two things one got back ordered so I called and told them to cancel that part of the order which they did and the other part of it came via ups a few days later. I had no problems and they were very helpful with a few questions I had prior to ordering.

I had a major delivery delay but it wasn't their fault. The mailman delivered my package to my neighbors house....they were on vacation for a month. All other orders have been fine.

Rover connection has been the best source for my 95 Disco in terms of service and price let alone they are very kind and know what they are doing. I have tried many places before but this is the top place where I can recommend without any hesitation to my friends.

I agree with Carter, just give a call. Had the same thing happen to me on a small order. They didn't do a very good job as far as returning emails, just give them a call and they're more than happy to credit your account. They credited my account without any hassles. I do agree with you that they shouldn't charge your account if they haven't shipped the item. Just an FYI, but I've still given them my business since then.

FWIW, if I recall correctly (someone correct me if I'm wrong here) a retailer is not legally allowed to bill you until your merchandise is actually shipped.

I have never had Rover connections try this, but I have had others. If I call them they either (1) get it to me immediately (2) reverse the charges until it is actually shipped.

Either way it works out well.

It sounds like everyone here has had a good experience with them and I'd like to add my recommendation as well. I don't know what's going on with your order but when I ordered a small shipment with them I received e-mails in less than 24 hours each time I had a question...

Call them and ask for Insoo. He is the owner. I have dealt with him before and he is very straightforward. Not your usual hack either. I believe he is a chemical engineer who does this in his spare time. Still - stuff falls between the cracks. I am sure he will set it straight though...

yeah, just recently ordered a small part from them. billed me day i ordered and said should be here 7-10 business days. emailed them after 10 bus days, they replied that it shipped the day before, should be here in 4 bus days. they were prompt on answering me at least, and it is a small part, so no panties in a knot yet.

If my memory serves me, they can bill you immediately after you place the order, since you at that time have purchased the goods. Now the question of delivery. Delivery should be done in a reasonable amount of time. If you feel that the time is unreasonable you are entitled to terminate the transaction since you have not received the goods, and they must credit you. thye cannot force you to have to wait beyond a reasonable period of time.

Unlike most of you . . . I had a terrible experience with them. I actually caught them in a lie. Someone is bound to have bad service from any company you order from. All business make mistakes. It just pisses the hell out of me when they lie.

I have had great experiences with them. Have placed two different orders and both times the items shipped and arrived within a week!
Good luck!

PO of my truck told me to stay away from them. he'd had a terrible time with them over alternators and eventually ended up suing them over it. Then, I bought something from them on eBay. Although I paid too much (my fault), they treated me well.

As for the billing versus delivery, I think that if they bill you and it is going to take more than thirty days to get you your order, they must contact you and give you an opportunity to approve or deny the additional waiting time. In the past, I have received post cards from vendors to this effect.

Isn't this a Uniform Commercial Code issue? Where is John Lee when you need him?

Just as a follow up to my previous post. I placed an order with them on Mon, the 22nd and it arrived today, the 25th. Not bad from Utah to Alabama. Again, a very small part though.

Once you authorize the charge they can run your card -but only for what you agreed to. If you want to contest a charge contact the merchant to tell them you are filing an Affadavit of Forgery at your bank and also a police report. Always speak with a supervisor or manager at the merchant and ask for their full name - most times they can fix the problem on the spot if they are poperly motivated to cover their own a$$. If they refuse file the Affadavit of Forgery with your bank and let the bank go after them. In my experience, speaking with a manager and indicating you want their name for your police report and affadavit will resolve it asap !

Ronnie - they closed the river mud bowls - all trails are now off-limits

Rover Connection is here in Salt Lake. When I need parts I drive over and pick them up. It's a one man operation run out of his garage, which is how he keeps parts so cheap, but it isn't as organized as you would think. He doesn't even have his address marked on his house so finding it is a bit of a guessing game.

He is very knowledgeable and helpful. He usually takes a day to respond to emails. I'm sure any bad experiences are accidental and a phone call would clear everything up. Or you can send me $20 and a receipt and I'll go over there and straighten things out :)
