I got the center console off but no idea how to remove the shifter's "T-handle" in order to lift the shift indicator cover out. It would be great if someone could point me to a site with detail instruction on this subject or email or fax me the shifter assembly diagram. I gotta order that Haynes manual soon. Thanks!

dang on my range rover the top pealed back on the shifter handel and there is a nut inside with a c-clip, you remove the c-clip and unscrew the nut and it's off, very simple. i cant rember what a discovery handle looks like, but chances are it's very similar

look for a split like where it will unsnap from
