I've had my local branch of organized crime (aka "the dealer") replace the steering box on my '94 Disco twice, the last time was about 4 months ago and it's leaking again. It's definitely the box - pump and hoses are fine and dry. It's a stock vehicle, no lift, stock tires and this last box hasn't seen any serious off-roading. Am I just getting bad boxes off the shelf or should I be looking at something else - what would make the steering box seals go? Any advice would be appreciated. Jim |

well http://www.meridianautoparts.com/ they rebuild the boxes to better than stock, i too am tearing my hair out because of the box, i even considered converting to manual. however meridians price is very resonable and they pay the shipping for the core you return. rd |
