At the risk of jinxing myself, I think I may have finally fixed the annoying whistle my engine was making.
I replaced:
All of the vacuum lines except those for the cruise control.
Power Steering Pump
Belt tensioner bearing, and

Drum roll please...

The WATER PUMP!!!

Thanx Sam! I got a used water pump from a friend. Took forever to get that last little bit of gasket off of the front cover (at nearly midnight, it is sometimes difficult to maintain discipline, but I guess I hadn't had enough beer!).

So far, it has been almost 36 hours, the whistle hasn't returned, I'm still happily married, my 401 K is up, I've marked the calendar to count the days before the next part breaks (Or I decide to disassemble something to measure the internal components).

Sorry for the waste of bandwidth, but I'm hopeful I was successul. Now, onto the rear driveshaft. Hope to pick up the yoke this evening. Oh yeah, the mounting bracket for my snorkel came to me today while driving to work, next project.

Thanx everybody for the suggestions and morale support.

Peace,
Paul
