Hi folks. New to this site; very informative. I'm from Canada and have a 98 Disco that I'm looking to have the tires replaced. Wanted to pick your brains on some decent all around tires. I do go off-road (as far as going through rivers, mud bogs, backcountry areas) but not frequently. My Disco is used for commuting and basic regular driving but I also want something that I can just turn off the pavement and go and will do the job relatively well. I've been doing some research and BFG AT TA KOs seem to have a lot of support but I've heard they're not so great in mud (tires slick up pretty quick). I'm also looking at Bridgestone Dueler ATs and Goodyear Wrangler ATs. What do you guys think or is there something else you can recommend. Good for winter too would be nice (lots of snow up here and relatively long winters). Some people were suggesting going to MT tires but that seems to be over-kill since I don't go all the time. Also makes a lot of noise too. Thanks a bunch. Al |
