If you're not interested in the case, Scott, just stay out of it. Clearly you're not because you're wrong in your thinking. If you were following the case you would understand where the feds have lied and covered up evidence, making the feds look like they were just doing what was right. That can't be further from the truth. The feds were the aggressors. That's why this is in court. That's why the media has started paying attention.

This guy is a bit, umm, unique, but he makes great points from time-to-time and gives good updates. He's in the courtroom. He's a good source for what's going on that the mainstream media does not report.

So that guy on the highway aiming at the Feds was doing what? Just out for a stroll and he wanted a better view of what was going on so he used his scope?

And, how were the Feds the aggressors? Taking Bundy's cattle off of BLM land? How is that being aggressive? If you dog is on my land, and I collar him and put him in my house - how is that me being aggressive?

Hmmm...maybe calling every kook in the land to take up arms against the feds, who were executing a warrant from a Federal judge, is "being aggressive."

Your " lied and covered up evidence" consists of having an FBI response team on stand-by, but not actually there (again - more aggressive fed behavior!) or having cameras set up for surveillance is what crime? What cover up?

Minor points against the main point: The Bundys think they don't have to pay the Feds grazing rights. They haven't paid them in decades. he lost his fight and was ordered to remove the cattle. When he didn't, an order was issued for them to be removed by the Feds. When the Feds did that, Bundy and Co. threatened them with violence.

They are kooks who think the highest authority in the US is the county sheriff.

And, I'm not interested in the case? Who started this thread?

The media is paying attention? Really? What news organization has this as their lead item?

Scott, if you were paying any attention at all, you would know by now that even before the stand-off there were snipers focused on the Bundy ranch. This is fact. This is evidence admitted to this newest trial.
What news organization has this as their lead item?
NPR and Fox. This past weekend.

You and Brian must be dating. You both know the "truth."

First off, this guy makes a lot of statements about the truth is going to come out...yet, doesn't say what that is. Lots of generalities, no specifics. Ironic how he talks about people not having critical thinking ability.:smilelol:

The point of that article is that the parallel universe is the conspiracy theorists. That the information people are pointing to as "truth" comes from sites with no factual basis, theories, and hit on emotional chords. Basically, a lot of sweeping generalities, and no specifics.

No wonder the Russian media play was so effective.

From the NPR article:
"The narrative among Bundy supporters is that the government is not presenting the truth and it's very difficult to know that truth and therefore why should men be convicted on things we can't know," said Tay Wiles, associate editor at High Country News, a western environmental magazine.

Wiles is a regular in the courtroom alongside reporters from mainstream outlets like The Los Angeles Times and The Wall Street Journal. But there are also some of the Bundy movement's early promoters: people from far-right Internet talk shows and conspiracy websites identifying themselves as media. Friends of the Bundys regularly livestream updates to their followers during breaks in the trial (no cameras or recorders are allowed in federal court).

He's talking about evidence they knew about, that the prosecution denied yet later admitted into evidence. That's why the trial was delayed. Try and keep up.

Dan - you are obsessed with these people. What’s the source of infatuation? Have you had BLM issues? Trouble finding enough land for your livestock to graze on? Thinking about abandoning any potential tax obligations? Where you in shoot out with federal officers that didn’t go your way? Thinking about organizing an occupation of Shenandoah National Park? Pesky snipers on your property?

You’ll have to forgive me if I seems rather hesitant on displaying any sympathy for this fine family. You see, I believe that if you find federal snipers on your property and fire fights with federal agents not out of the ordinary, you may have done something wrong.

And juust so I’m as learned as you regarding these patriots - were they completely innocent and law abiding pilgrims only to find themselves chosen at random for a government frame up? These people have spotless records and proven to be pillars and model citizens? Have you thought about a go fund me page for them?

LOL. Here's your alternate universe at work.

#PostTruthWorld

Trump voter panelist: "If Jesus Christ gets down off the cross and told me Trump is with Russia, I would tell him, 'Hold on a second. I need to check with the President if it's true.'"

More alternate universe where where everything is fake, nothing is real. Only those blessed few who "know" really know what's going on. The rest of us are asleep.

All the fake news in the world and Dan has the market cornered on "real news" as it pertains to the Great American Bundy Family!

Well, let's see...that's more than 19 defendants (I'm assuming your mixing the NV and the OR cases together? others as well?

And, how do you get zero convictions? You might want to work on that math.

19 defendants. Zero convictions. Two completed trials. You tell me.

Of the two trials, February 2017 and Oct. 2016, no convictions. All acquittals.

Way to cherry pick data.

They still broke the law. People still went to jail. Stop acting like the gov't is on the ropes and losing all these trials.

Maybe that's what your video bloggers are telling you in your alternate universe, but back here on earth...

I have a feeling the Bundy's will walk. As for Ryan Payne, he may be fucked. We'll see.

Reid family been quite. Harry has probably chewed his fingernails to the quick. Sessions is staying on the sidelines for a reason.
