Kinda slow today at the office when a vendor of mine says he's got a bunch of vinyl he's getting rid of and knows that I get into a lot of different things. So... I think to myself I could zebra stipe the disco. It's vinyl so if I hate it, then rip it off. I can't recall ever seeing a disco zebra striped. many a series, but not so common for the discovery.

I know I'll get flamed for this (cause that's what happens on D-web lately) but what do you think. The picture attached is just a quick photoshop job of what it could look like. Sure would turn a lot of heads. Especially the rednecks where I live.

By the way, my profile pic is what my truck looks like normaly.

I like it. Make sure to hit the bumpers as well.

Oh, and if there is some extra left over, I could use some instead of getting new paint :D .

You did a nice job with the photoshop, but i am not a huge fan of it, it looks pretty absurd. It would be fun for a little but then i would get tired of it, but i guess you can just rip it off. If you have nothing else to do with your time and you like it then go for it.

I agree, and that's the beauty of doing it in vinyl. You're not committed to it forever. But yea, it could wear on ya after a while

The zebra stripes are cool, but what's up with those poser camel trophy stickers in the window? :p

(PS, I've got a CT spare tire cover so I am a poser too ;) )

I usually hate the zebra look but with your trucks grey color I think it looks pretty cool. And very nice photoshop job!!! Go for it, have some fun and take it off later.

You just saved me a ton of work! I've been trying to contact Vigg regarding the zebra decals, I think he actually has a kit for it around $400 or so but I cant remember and his site isnt fully functional yet.

Now I can take your layout and reverse it since my truck is black. I think it looks awesome but I am also a freak. Good work! Let me know if you do it and if you're interested in making a 2nd set for little ole me. :)

Jen, my truck is actually black. Who knows if you see me in Florida next month it could be in a zebra. The vinyle will come in 5' roll and not sure what linear feet the roll is. It'll be one of those cut 'em out as I go kinda things.

Tailgate concept?

Hey Steven, did you get around to doing a concept shot of the tailgate? I'd be really curious to see it all comes together on the ass end of the horse. ;)

Thanks again,
Jen

30 foot x 3 foot rolls of 7 year vinyl are only about $40... wouldn't cost much to do...
Of course, trying to remove the vinyle after a year isn't that easy and it will still be visible afterwards because of fade, scratches etc.

Back when I bought my first Rover, there was a Rover parts place in NJ called Zagata 4WD. He had a cool key fob that had a yellow striped 88 regular on it. Still have two of them :D
