It warms my heart to see all these people so angry at the players kneeling.

First off, most people are not angry. Disgusted would be a better word. And its that kind of thinking that's dividing our country. You're basically saying its ok to protest in that manner knowing full well its going to be perceived as disrespectful by a majority of people, but its not ok for people to unhappy with the manner of protest. Gimme a break.

There is no way the Castile officer should have got off like he did. That verdict tells me that cops have too much leeway.

Im not saying he was "out to get the black man", but that dude wigged the fuck out once he was calmly informed there was a gun in the situation.

I'm not familiar with this situation but I don't blindly believe that the police don't make mistakes. They, like any other human, will always make mistakes. Sadly, due to the nature of the job, their mistakes often have a more serious effect.
But on the other hand you have people like Michael Bennett flat out lying and playing the race card which doesn't help either.

It's absolutely okay to protest, and it's absolutely okay to be disgusted with the protesting. It is also okay to find it hilarious that all these people are trying to protest the NFL for allowing it.

So if 20% of people executed were innocent (falsely accused), we're winning?

If 20% of people in traffic stops were shot, we're winning?

Read what I wrote Scott, your brain went to executed. That?s what the media did to you. I said unsuccessful, that covers a very wide range of activities.

I think you're seeing backwards... trump is the one that constantly flies off the handle. Trump cannot take criticism to save his life. That, is hilarious to watch.

What I see is Trump defending his actions when in all reality he doesn?t even have to do that, he?s the president, everyone else can fuck off. Nothing new, presidents have always done that, it?s just our leedle cupcake youngsters can?t remember presidents like Reagan, he took no shit.

Like this bullshit report of Trump wanting more nukes, they had to set the record straight because of NBC viewing zombies. I?m seeing just fine, and what I see is glorious. Times are a? changing.

Protest the anthem, awesome.
Protest the NFL, hilarious.
Got it.

You know what they say. Money talks and bullshit walks. In the end protesting players won't pay the bills.

Black people being executed by the police for no reason.
So your answer to this ^ "statement of fact" is this
"Those 4 or 5 or whatever major publicized incidents were basically what sparked Kaepernick sitting in the first place"

You obviously couldn't be bothered to do any research as to how or why things happened the way they did in any of those "publicized incidents".

Then because you were obviously an eye witness to the Castile shooting you make this statement.

Unless you were sitting in that car you have no idea as to whether or not he was complying with instructions.
Armchair quarterbacking is easy, making life or death decisions on a daily basis not so much.

Sad that Trump's diversion is still going strong here.

It's not just our president. It's mass media. ALL mass media, especially the fringe element.

TURN OFF THE TELEVISION, TALK RADIO, AND FACEBOOK. ANIMOSITY AND POLARIZATION GENERATES THEIR FUCKING ADVERTISING REVENUE!!

Last I checked these football games are still selling out so if people are really upset with the kneeling then SHUT OFF Their FUCKING REVENUE!!!

Really want to hit them in their balls? Everyone stop buying officially licensed merchandise. That shit is their pension.

But what do stupid fucking ignorant Americans do???? They keep feeding their addiction to their fucking team.

It's not rocket science. Cut off their revenue and then they start listening.

Haven't watched a game this year! They better figure this shit out by Thanksgiving though, or I'll be pissed.

Don't worry, thanksgiving day you'll get to watch transgender binary neutral soccer with everyone wearing hockey goalie pads and gender neutral uniforms. Sponsored by erectile inhibitors and vaginal elongation suppositories.

Sure. And if it was a white guy with a CCW getting shot in the car after telling the cop he had a legal gun and was licensed, you can bet your ass there be a lot of people including those on this board screaming about how the police are out of control.

Oh, wait. An example of where a guy says he's not going down without a fight, pulls his gun, gets shot and people are blaming the police for over reacting.

Brett, they just don't care about people like you that dislike the protesting. People "not watching" because of the kneeling is not making a significant impact on attendance. What does the NFL care? They're still rejecting Trump's bullshit. Many teams have years & years of waiting lists, there's no shortage of people willing to attend.

I was just thinking that today. I put up with 20 years of mediocrity including the Quincy years. Jerry showed his ass when he improperly dropped Lucky Whitehead based on character. Zeke should have taken the 6 games but by challenging it looks like the biggest POS in the world. They arent even practicing in Dallas county anymore, and on top of that they look like shit this year. I could give 2 shits about their views on anything other than winning and partying, and even less about CTE.

Maybe Ill fire up the VCR and watch the 93 Lettdown game instead. At least that idiot never stood on a soapbox.

"From the end of August to the end of September, the favorable ratings for the NFL have dropped from 57 percent to 44 percent, and it has the highest unfavorable rating ? 40 percent ? of any big sport, according to the Winston Group"

You don't actually believe the majority of money the NFL makes comes from ticket sales do you???
The NFL makes a majority of its money through advertising, specifically on TV. The NFL depends on ratings to draw in advertisers. Less viewers means lower ratings. Lower ratings means less leverage which means less cash.

Of course the stands are full. Average Americans use their hard earned money to pay for tickets. Its a lot harder to skip an event when it means flushing $2-500. And ultimately the NFL doesn't care because that's not where their bread is buttered.
It costs me $0.00 to not watch and it ultimately hits them where it hurts.

My point is that it's not really hurting them. If anything, the controversy will draw viewers eventually because it's relevant, once the butthurt people get over the kneeling. Face it, Brett, it just shouldn't matter to you. They're disrespecting something that's unrelated to football. Trump disrespected far more than the anthem, and he's the president.

Trump's approval rate - 37%, your point? He's still the president, the NFL is still the NFL, they're not worried.

They would not be making the changes to the rule book that are happening right now if they weren't feeling the pinch. Attendance is way down and NBC is seeing the ratings drop, things are changing.

Alright you morons. Is it really a protest or is it pop culture mass media divide and conquer.
I say it's the latter.
