Meanwhile at Suzuki
The thing will do fine on trails either way.
Exactly. And probably better than open front / rear diffs even with center locking found on the Def, RRC, D1 family.
2 for 1, Defender and Gladiator at the bottom, clever placement.

Funny enough at our last ride for the year a few weeks ago, We had the whole gambit. From a series truck, to P38, D2, D1, D90 and LR3. Guess which one of those had to turn around and go back to camp because they couldnt make it up the wet hill? Yep the LR3 with sliders and 18" wheels on Ko2's Could have been driver error, but he beat that truck and finally gave up. Only myself and the D90 had lockers.

I wonder if the new Defender will have the same cutesy, quirky commercials that Land Rover is putting out now....where the chick lowers the ride height to let her little rat dog jump in the back because she's too fucking lazy to pick it up, or the snob suburbanite mom "helps" the beleaguered dad with all the beach crap by lowering the back seats with his iphone app, or the dad in the driver's seat getting pelted with rubberbands flushes out his little shit bastard kids by folding down the second row seats. Best 4x4xFar for sure.
Don?t think comparing a LR3 on AT?s to a D90/D2 locker on MT?s is apples to apples.... That being said the first time I wheeled mine I could really feel the weight on some cross slopes
Why didn't you help him through?
Gotcha, NO shame in that at all. The weekend I saw y'all was exciting. I can't imagine doing that in the rain.
The Series, P38, D1 and couple other D2's were not locked, and they got through just fine. It was a sloppy shit show, and momentum was needed. It seemed like the TC in the LR3 kept cutting power when he needed it the most. So again, it could have been user error or (wrong terrain setting)
Just stating the facts. Out of 5-6 trucks, only the LR3 had to turn around.
Sounds like he left DSC on. Rookie LR3 mistake.
