What are the differences in the torque converter? I have been unable to dig up any real info on either transmission.

Other than the pan, are there any differences in the transmission from a GEMS P38 to a Bosch P38? Would I be able to take a trans from a wrecked '01 and install in my '98?

anybody here use an ipad as an OBD2 scanner? I would like to be able to use mine to show live data, pull codes, you know usual scan tool stuff, but the ipad has such a nice screen to view it all on. Google search doesn't seem to reveal much, I find it hard to believe that nothing good exists...

the AB steel wheels for D2 will give a slightly wider stance. 265's sit almost exactly even with the fender flares, no idea how your 34's will fit.

PT, do you show a different tensioner for the ERR6191 belt on your microcat? I got the gates equivalent but the current tensioner setup isn't gonna cut it. There are two holes on the tensioner mount, maybe I'll try flipping it upside down, but gotta actually get rid of the old AC compressor first.

never had a fit issue, only a very annoying drone on the highway about 60-65mph. I bought a D1 magnaflow, couldn't stand the noise, transferred it to a RRC. The sound is slightly more bearable but still annoying.

some more searching tells me that an ERR6191 is a non AC serpentine for '94 -'95 D1, the dealer tells me that isn't a real part number, Google tells me otherwise. I just need a length for this belt, I'm sure there is a 7 row Gates equivalent.

anybody know off hand what belt would fit a D1 if the A/C compressor were no longer part of the equation?
