Does the key turn at all? Does it click left or right at all? If I'm not mistaken (and I am truly am amateur at this, forgive me), your truck is likely superlocked. I believe there is a way to enter in some sort of code to un-superlock it by turning the key (as far as it will go) X amount of...
Re: War Story ... Trust but verify?
Ha Ha, awatkins, depends on where in the country you're located at. I can tell you exactly which one I was "privileged" to have visited, and how to get there, if you're remotely close to Pittsburgh.
Take care,

Re: War Story with Jiffy Lube and my positive switch to Royal Purple 10W40 Syn & Lucas
Jupiter,
Just as a follow up, I just found that Royal Purple 15W40 Synthetic here: http://www.lethaldiesel.com/royal-purple-15w40-synthetic-motor-oil-1-gallon-p-20265.html
$24.92 for a gallon jug. Works...
Re: War Story ... Trust but verify?
Thanks for the tip. I agree, I should not have simply trusted them a year ago when this all happened. That said, going forward, I will always heed that advice. I guess the only good thing that came out of this is all new seals and gaskets at no cost to me.
Re: War Story with Jiffy Lube and my positive switch to Royal Purple 10W40 Syn & Lucas
Chris: Thanks for chiming in on my original post. The original question stemmed from using Royal Purple Synthetic 10W40 with the Lucas Synthetic Oil Additive. The discussion seems to indicate that the...
Re: War Story with Jiffy Lube and my positive switch to Royal Purple 10W40 Syn & Lucas
Thanks for all your help, Pete, I really appreciate it. I'm actually looking at this AMSOIL now too. That Synthetic 10W40 XL (Extended Life) has a Shear viscosity of 4.3...good to go? For Pete and/or...
Re: War Story with Jiffy Lube and my positive switch to Royal Purple 10W40 Syn & Lucas
Pete & Peter, you both seem to make valid points, no doubt about it. I did not mean to provide fuel to an argument here.
That said, I'm inclined to continue to stick with synthetic for the life of this...
Re: War Story with Jiffy Lube and my positive switch to Royal Purple 10W40 Syn & Lucas
Jupiter:
Thanks, so now I know...no Lucas oil additive next time. I just changed this week to the Royal Purple, when am I due again, every 3K or 5K?
Also, I didn't realize the Lucas would throw the Royal...
War Story with Jiffy Lube and my positive switch to Royal Purple 10W40 Syn & Lucas
Hey all, I hope all is well. As I've mentioned in the limited number of my other posts, I'm pretty new at posting, but I figured I would share a few tidbits about my 2003 Disco II S as I came across them.
A...
Just an FYI that I thought I would share with the Discoweb community out there (which has been really helpful to me). I'm really new at this, so no guarantees on anything here, but I am just trying to get a few more posts up here as I continue to explore and learn of the many woes my Rover has...
In search of a used/salvage fuse box (interior; driver's side; under the steering wheel) from an '03-'04 Disco II, with the fuses and relays included. The original LR part number for this part would be YQE000251. Let me know your best $$, with shipping, to zip code 15222.
Thanks!
