1997 Discovery 1 - Very Clean, Well Maintained Daily Driver

It's also worth noting that the price is OBO. I'm not desperate to sell, but it's taking up garage space that I need for my 1970 Mustang project.

Just buy it for your wife, she'll learn to love it. Trust me. :) I actually have the cargo dividers, I just removed them for more space.

1997 Discovery 1 - Very Clean, Well Maintained Daily Driver

It's hard to argue that there are cheaper trucks out there, I'm totally aware of that. Sadly most of them have been neglected by indifferent owners that bought a Land Rover because they saw it as a status symbol, owners that have no interest in preventative maintenance or promptly performing...

1997 Discovery 1 - Very Clean, Well Maintained Daily Driver

After about a year of enjoyment, I'm ready to pass along my Disco to a new owner that will hopefully properly enjoy it off of the pavement. Despite my best intentions I was never able to make time to properly exercise it. The Craigslist ad text is below, most of this will be pretty simple...

    WTB Disco 1 Ignition Switch

Just to be clear, I need the actual ignition switch that you insert the key into and its associated parts. I don't need the circular black switch that mounts at the end of the assembly and actually starts the car. Mine works fine, right now I can start my Disco with a screwdriver. :)

    WTB Disco 1 Ignition Switch

I need a good working ignition switch assembly to fit a 1997 Discovery 1. Key not required, as I plan to fit it to my existing key.

What leather conditioner do you use?

Leatherique, don't waste your money on anything sold at the local retail stores. Technique is important, particularly using it in the heat and allowing the oil to soak for at least 24 hours. There's a tips and tricks section on their website. I've seen it do amazing things on leather, it made...

Thinking about purchasing a 99 D2.. Is this a good price?

Here's what the original poster has found so far: To make this truck totally right could easily require $2k+ depending on your level of DIY. Then you'd have a $4k truck. There's a ton of Discoveries available for sale, why buy one that's overpriced and needs a lot of work?

Thinking about purchasing a 99 D2.. Is this a good price?

That's way high, with a truck that neglected you'll probably find a number of unknown issues shortly after purchase.

    Wheeler Dealer Land Rover

Good show, I'll try to catch the episode. I find it funny that they either lose money or break even on every car they sell.
