It's hard to argue that there are cheaper trucks out there, I'm totally aware of that. Sadly most of them have been neglected by indifferent owners that bought a Land Rover because they saw it as a status symbol, owners that have no interest in preventative maintenance or promptly performing...

Just to be clear, I need the actual ignition switch that you insert the key into and its associated parts. I don't need the circular black switch that mounts at the end of the assembly and actually starts the car. Mine works fine, right now I can start my Disco with a screwdriver. :)

Here's what the original poster has found so far: To make this truck totally right could easily require $2k+ depending on your level of DIY. Then you'd have a $4k truck. There's a ton of Discoveries available for sale, why buy one that's overpriced and needs a lot of work?

That's way high, with a truck that neglected you'll probably find a number of unknown issues shortly after purchase.
