It looks to be coming from both front and rear main seals - output to the driveshafts (if that is the correct term). Rear seems to be leaking from inside the park brake.
Does the transfer case have to come out?
Yea, changing fluid is much easier than the filter. I don't know if I am doing it wrong but everytime I have changed the filter, I have to pull the structural crossmember out to get the pan off. Very annoying.
I forgot to write it down but I am pretty sure I changed the filter and fluid a couple of years ago and would have put less than 1000 miles since. But now I have water in the transmission fluid.
Do I need to go ahead and change the filter or can I be lazy and just drain and refill?
Yep, I figure I will never sell it. Had it since 2001 and about 90k miles of my own. The market value is not worth getting rid of.
Attached is what it looks like from the outside.
I have two extra axels in the garage that I plan to outfit with lockers and D90 brakes one of these days.
The Lucas gods have smiled on me! I randomly got in today and turned the key, fuel pump made noise and the old bitch started right up!!
I haven't moved it out of the garage yet, but shifted around and it feels like the transmission is responding. No clue if that means...
Back together and turning over fine. The battery has been hooked up for over 24 hours and everything is still behaving normally, the radio works, windows work. ECU doesn't look any different than a dirty box, all the plugs look good, no evidence of anything.
However, I don't think...
