I'm not sure if this will help at all, but here are directions for another brand line lock/retainer. I think you are supposed to put the line through the hole with superwinches / little bolt on warns. The through the hole or bolt is still keeping the line on, the lock just keeps you from...

It's flexible, depends on what I find. But most of the trucks I've been looking at the sellers are asking around $15K +/- $1-2K.

It seem to be harder to find a duramax in good shape without a ton of miles on it then a 7.3 powerstroke is (which is not so easy) in the configuration I want. I thought I had found a decent truck, but after I saw the carfax report I decided to keep looking. So the search continues...

Just pull the tie rod off and put one end in a vice. Get the thing hot and use some pb blaster or whatever and pup a pipe wrench on it. I bet you can get it out and reuse it for now.

Tim, call that guy you got the stuff from (Brian or whatever his name is) and ask him. I've never heard of a heavy duty tie rod that used the little adjuster part from the stock one.

Not really, also looking at Chevy 2500's. I just don't know as much about the ford motors.

I've heard that about the 6.0 and modding it.. I don't want to buy a truck with any mods and don't plan on doing any, but I still want to avoid potential issues.. The only thing I like about the 6.0 would be the better mpg. & from my little bit of looking around a lot of them are beat up...
