I have always just used a syringe and hose, putting the hose on the bleed valve of the secondary cylinder, pushing fluid up into the primary. Then I cycle the pedal about a 100 times to purge the air. No joke - 100 cycles of the pedal. Also, I'd search for your leak.
I reset the inertia switch already. The truck starts and drives fine. I did unplug the alarm module and all lights worked fine, but this was before dealing with this fault.
I've inspected the board and found a few suspect spots from moisture damage. I'd really like to swap it for one that looks healthier. This video is interesting though. Appreciate it!

You might want to also replace your water pump and viscus fan clutch. Replacing those two things will complete a full cooling system overhaul. What was your method to bleed the system when refilling? It sounds like you have air trapped that needs to be "burped" out. Also, unrelated to heat, but...
