I was wondering does anyone recommend either spraying a wire rope with wd40 or coating it with a thin coat of vaseline to prevent rust? I can see a disadvantage with an oily coat by road dirt/grime sticking to the cable and maybe causing a slow grit abrasion. TIA

Since I nolonger have a 03 with ACE, which I thought was interesting onroad and gave decent offroad articulation. I'm thinking of getting the 04 which doesn't have the ACE. How's the offroad articulation on this model?
