Swapped out the ECU with two other ECUs, replaced the fuel pump, checked fuel pump connector, and replaced gas cap. Took it to two rover specialist in the area and they are at a loss as well. Any ideas? I'm at my wits end with this truck! It's a '96 D1 with 225K miles.

Anybody figure out a solution to the idling issue? I have similar symptoms as the original poster. Swapped out the IAC, smoked tested for vacuum leaks (none identified), and swapped out the MAF for a used one (helped a little but still having issues).

Is it possible to shim the trailing arm to correct the thrust angle? Anybody tried this?

I went to an alignment shop to get a 4 wheel alignment on my 96 D1. The thrust angle is not adjustable but I was told it was about 3/4 of a degree off. Since it's not adjustable, does anybody know how to "fix" the thrust angle?

Just had the same issue with my 96 D1. Clutch pack in my auto trans was worn. Ended up having to doing a rebuild.

You were right PT and thanks. It turns out the re-manufactured compressor went bad. The good thing is that Rover Renovations has a 1 yr warranty on the compressor. The bad is that they required verification from my mechanic (1 hour labor at $135/hr) in order to honor the warranty.

Well it turned out that bringing my truck into my rover mechanic to reset the adaptive values did the trick. Truck now idles normal and smooth throughout the RPM range. I'm guessing that after I did a head gasket replacement and a few other items may have changed the parameters enough that the...
