I am about to change the diff oil on my '02 DII and was wondering what you guys do with the drain plugs? The shop manual says to use Loctite 290, but at the dealer they said their service guys always use Teflon tape so there's no leaks. Any thoughts?

I have a 2002 DII w/ stock master cylinder and calipers and was wondering if its harmful to use silicon brake fluid? I've heard about the benefits of silicon Dot 5 Brake fluid, high temp rating , moisture resistance, etc... But, I've also seen the warnings regarding using Dot 5 with ABS...
