Kelly Blue Book Value for this vehicle for a private party:

Excellent: $13,195
Good: $12,405
Fair: $11,415

From your description on your EBay ad, it looks like it's been wheeled, so I'd put condition at fair... now get all the additional parts that you purchased and add them up.. do not include labor or shipping at all.. now, divide that number by about 3 or 4... and add that to the price of $11,415 ... thats about what the truck is worth.

I'm still trying to fathome how you invested $38k in accessories though, i'm assuming that includes your bangin system and paying someone else to do all the work.

My final estimate of what you'll sell it for -- $18-20k max.

I only came here to check the site out. Then your right all i wanted to do was list it to see if anyone was interested. Then I recieved all these smart ass comments, and seems others are trying to pick a fight. I wish I never came to this site.

You could buy an 04 S model Disco new for like 33-35k, and that's MSRP. If you bought it end of the year, as an ex service loaner, you could get mid to low 20's. This guy needs to see someone about marketing whatever drugs he is on, as they must be great!

You should list it on Pirate4x4.com, the Rover guys there will be all over this truck, they love trucks like this!

Not trying to pick a fight at all, your price is just ridiculous for us... we see discoveries being sold every day, mostly modified, so we know what the market is fairing... your truck is not a unique butterfly, there are many similar to it in modifications, and they are selling for under 20k. If you need to get $35k for it, then put it in autotrader and stick with EBay, maybe even try to put a sign on the front of it and leave it on the side of the road, maybe someone who doesn't know will buy it for that price.

If you want to sell it via discoweb;

First, write up a proper description, include all the modifications... It's important to us what axle shafts you have, what ring&pinion gearing you have, who did the installations, etc.. we want to know about every modification, especially to the drivetrain.

Second, include pictures here, people like rover porn... an interested buyer will see it, fall in love with it, and contact you.

Third, drop your price, I'd say $25k is a good starting point.

Otherwise, I wish you good luck with your sale.

O.P. - Dude, you're being silly or naive. I'd be lucky to get much more than $35k for my lr3 with lots of similar stuff and yours is lots older, previous model, higher miles, etc. etc.

even if s dealer were selling it with an extended factory warranty, it would still not top low $20's

BTW, what are those lights for above the switches that already have built in lamps? Kind of strange to do it that way.

If you "need" to sell it, you're screwed - you need time to get the most for it or you need luck to find someone not shoping around at all who also wants all that stuff exactly the way it's already done. Most people who would use it the way it's set up for would yank the amps and rear seats.

And "$38k in accessories" ? do you mean in addition to purchase of the vehicle? You are crazy. I paid a private rover specialty shop to do all my mods and still only spent no more than $25k, including tax, shipping, etc, what's the $13k difference?

Regardless, these guys are all correct, not being your friends they just aren't saying in a nice, let you down easy sort of way, "sorry buddy, but that price are anything near it is highly unlikely"

Good luck with living with the car and not needing to sell it anymore or dealing with low to mid $20's at most from an uninformed buyer.

In stock form it's worth 13.5K I even gave credit for some of the added options.

Condition Value Excellent
$13,490
Good
$12,685
Fair
$11,670

I revised my estimate down to $15k from $17k after I ran the numbers too. I'd be happy to get $15k for this molested hunk of junk if I were the seller.

If I was him I would be estatic to get that from it. If he is lucky I say he'll pull 12k

On a serious note the truck with non of the options is worth like $13,000.

Thats cool that it has lockers and bumpers and all that stuff, but it adds very little value to your car. Very very little value, and not many people are in the market for a vehicle like that. Someone could just as easily go out, buy a $12,000 Disco, do their own work to put in lockers and bumpers and still come out way under $35,000. I'd say tops $20,000.

You could literally buy two 2005 LR3's for the asking price of your car. Or a couple 03/04 Disco II's. Or several 99-02 Disco II's. Or 8 or so Discovery I's.

Ahh, my 2 cents worth since everyone else is doing it.

Look at the SUV market right now, only people with lots of disposable cash and no common sense or a mental disability would pay that much for your vehicle.

Its nice, but not that nice.

Return it to stock, sell it and the accessories. you should be happy to get 20K for it after you part off all the extras, but more likely than not the number will be a bit less.

You could always sell it to someone who has no idea as to what it is and what its worth. there is truly a sucker born every min.

Too bad you dont like this site, you didnt even give it a chance. You just swooped in and tried to peddle your wares and then got butt hurt because you dont know how things work here.

Have a great day, and i hope that the bank doesnt repo your Rover.
