Long story short, I bought this rig from Drew at the end of last fall. This disco is nothing short of amazing, overcomes anything you put in its way with ease and built with an open checkbook. I also have an 03 Disco, however the cannibal v8 in Drover is day and night difference when driving around....thing is a absolute beast! I'd love to keep it but unfortunately my priorities have changed and i'm putting Drover back on the market for someone else to enjoy

2004 Discovery SE7 (body has about 185k miles, motor has about 6k miles). This is a trail truck but drives real nice and smooth on the street. Has minor scratches as expected on a rig of this age, most can be buffed out but I say it gives it character. There is a dent by the left taillight and one on the hood. The CEL light is on due to the cat cut outs and o2 deletes, does not affect performance. I just had a new key fob made at the stealership. Also the brakes pads have about 7mm left and will need to be done in the near future.

Here is his build thread: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/118052-04-DII-build
As you can see its a well put together rig.

Here was the ad when I purchased it: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/134795-04-DII-for-trade-SOLD!!

5k delivered to 85719…it's gonna need a motor soon

oh, yeah…the CEL being on means any state that does emissions will fail it immediately…

good luck with the sale

Why are you selling?

Blue, it was a tough decision but I talked it through with the misses and we're trying to downsize some of the toys to finish the house remodel and get a new vehicle. I still have my 03 disco and this one, which we both use just as "pleasure vehicles". The insurance runs more on this one since I had to get an agreed upon policy, the dogs can't get in it nor the misses for that matter since she's 5'1. So the decision was made to sell this one first and potentially the 03 if she gives me the green light to get the new TRD Pro...that's still up in the air.

As fo the comment above about the motor, come drive it man....I promise you'll never smile harder when driving a disco II! It's got more power than you honestly need, Drew had it send back to Cannibal to get reworked again for more power right before selling to me. This thing screams, with the straight pipes and exhaust it sounds bada$$ while doing it. Cannibal reworked all the issues known with these motors and sleeved the block. Agreed with the emissions, CT is very strict, but I found the loophole in CT, hence it currently being registered and having plates. If the new owner wants, you can put stock cats and o2 sensors back on.

It will run right up until it stops, for no apparent reason, you should have done some research on cannibal motors…The comment of having it sent back to "gain more power" is fucking joke, right

As for the value, you can build the same truck with a motor that won't self destruct for about 10k, maybe less and the fact it won't pass emissions in a lot of states would be a concern

I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you regarding your opnions on this motor or anything else on this rig. Anyone is more than welcome to have it checked out if they would like.

I am impressed that someone bothered to swap to a galvanized frame, or at least stripped it down and sanded and painted the frame to look galvanized. There are also a few other good parts on this truck too. That being said, what I don't understand is why the truck as a whole doesn't work.

Not being a smart ass but since I live in CT, I be interested in hearing what the emission loophole is.

Guy who built it either bought or had a truck with a bent, broken frame, hence the frame swap.

Your looking a re-built truck that someone wants stupid money for with nothing more than a $2800.00 galvy frame and a piece of shit engine built by hacks...

That's a nice looking truck that looks to have been built right (Cannibal motor excepted) but I don't see a market for D2's for over 10 grand these days.

I know just about everything on this truck... PM me with any questions. But to be honest, tons of money was invested and the mechanic that built it does exceptional work. Drew(the previous owner) was willing to pay for Genuine everything where applicable. No shortcuts were taken. Marty, the chassis was rust free before it was replaced, he converted to a rear panhard and the mount on the chassis ripped out like Randy's so he did a full chassis. The guy just had money and wanted a nice D2.

Also, that motor from Cannibal was badass, could chirp the 35s on pavement. Most powerful D2 I've driven and engine sounded great.
