For Sale 1987 LHD Ex-MOD Defender 110 GS Diesel, comes with a tonne of stuff and a drop down tail gate Sankey too!

93000 Miles
Left Hand Drive
12 Volt Negative Earth
Smooth shifting LT77 5spd with the short MOD first gear, Hi/Low Range with Diff Lock, works great.
Strong 2.5 N/A Diesel that starts every time and will push the beast easily to 60mph/100kph
Really good condition Michelin XZLs, plus an extra two mounted on same style wheels.
Great canvas top, plus Ex-Moor Trim Truck Cab Top new in box, not even opened yet.
NATO Pintle Hitch with trailer connection for Sankey
Tail gate with pioneer tool mounts and fire extinguisher mount.
Internal side jerry can storage.
Super cool MOD multi function light switch, well I think it’s super cool.
Comes with a tonne of extra parts for spares and restoration that aren’t mounted yet, here’s a sample of the larger parts;
Galvanized front bumper
Set of fender eyebrows
Set of front fenders/wings
Set of inner fenders/wings
Radiator surround
Set of doors
Set of door tops with glass
Windshield surround
Diamond plate for fender/wing tops
Set of hoops for canvas and roll bar
Set of door hinges
Set of Wolf XD mirrors
Skid plate
Lower sills
Rear section body top caps
Wolf XD rear bumpers
Various lights
Set of MOD jerry cans
And crates and crates, and boxes and boxes of other stuff.
Sankey trailer with drop down tail gate in really good condition.
There’s a bunch of other stuff that I can’t think of off the top of my head.
I drive this truck all the time and wouldn’t hesitate driving it across the country at all. In fact it would make for a great pick up and drive back vacation. I love it but I need the space. It’s actually the perfect candidate for a rolling restoration with all of the extra parts. Feel free to contact me with any questions or queries via email. Located in Calgary, Alberta. $20,000US, or 22,500 CDN.
Cheers,
Andrew

None at the moment, it's stuffed in my garage behind a snow blower, lawn mower, couple motorcycles and bikes. It is in really good condition though, next to no rust but sadly it doesn't have a canvas box cover. I wish I did because then it'd be perfectly complete. Although it's sitting on a good set of stock Sankey wheels and tires, the spare set of Defender wheels with XZL mount perfectly on it too.

Cheers,
Andrew

I guess there is absolutely no way to LEGALLY import that 110 into the US.........

Legally being the operative word. Physically, there is little chance of having this hung up in a shipping container in Baltimore with the key being held by a customs agent in New Orleans - Just drive it home.

So, I guess I could get it, and then not drive it on the road til 2012..........

On the 2012 issue, is Jan 1st the date we're able to drive or is it the actual manufacturing date? Say Dec 21, 2012 or so..........

Vehicle build date. I once stopped a fellow in a 101 who had just that day imported it from Canada as it had met the magic date. He had shipped it from Yemen to somewhere in Canada, waited a coupla years and drove it home to Kansas.

Well you could get it now and buy the time you have it all cleaned up and just the way you like it it will be 2012 and you'll be ready to hit the trails.

wait are you saying this is a good deal or a not so good deal?

I think it is what it is... You can't buy a 110 in the states for less than 40-50k and much more than that. If you bought this for 20k and dumped another 20k into it. It's about right, compared for what they are going for here... If you can find one.

I'm starting to look for a project truck like this one. I'll keep my DI but I want to build either a LWB RRC with a 300tdi or a 110 with a 300tdi or a TD5, auto.

Specifically, a 84 110 hardtop, 5 door with a 300tdi auto. I'm being told by my wife as I type this that I'm at least a year away from a purchase ;) LOL
