1988 Range Rover - SG Bumper - OME - $1000

I just bought a 95 RRC so my wife is making me get rid of Portofino Red. I've owned the car for a year and the only thing its ever needed are a battery and a stepper motor. The car runs fairly well but doesn't have a muffler so won't pass emissions here in Portland. It would make a great off road or parts car. I've been using it as a vacation vehicle to go over the mountain and to the beach. A little bit about it.

Engine: The original 3.5 was replaced by a 3.9 with 30,000 in 2001. The transmission and transfer case were refurbished at the same time. When the engine was replaced the car had 120,000 and the odometer hasn't moved since.

Chasis/Suspension: The rover doesn't have much rust at all. The rear suspension was replaced a couple years ago with RTE springs and procomp shocks. The front suspension was replaced in the summer of 07' with OME medium springs, OME shocks, and an OME steering damper. The truck was alligned after the lift was installed. It has 235/85 BFG All-terrains with at least 75% tread left. The tires were put on with the OME lift in the summer of 07'

Body: the Body is in good conditions with normal scuffs and scratches. It has a Safari Gard front bumper with skid plate as well as rock sliders. The rear bumper is custom as well but its not the best work. The rear tailgate is in good shape and their aren't any wholes in the floor.

Interior: The interior is a bit neglected. Since I've had the car it hasn't had a radio. The headliner is gone and the front passenger door doesn't have the interior panels on. The driver seat doesn't move forward any longer.

Electrical: The windows are down and won't go back up. I haven't taken it in yet to have it checked but I assume its a relay. When I received the truck the fuel pump was hard wired into the fuse panel, requiring that the driver remove the wire to turn off the fuel pump. I installed a switch in the center console to turn the pump off. It also acts an alarm.

Overall its a great truck but I have no room in my driveway and I'm not looking to be a lawn collector. I'd be willing to deliver within a couple hundred miles.

are you saying that you'll give someone $1300 to take this piece of shit off your hands?

Dammit-that looks like beige interior. I'll take the center console when you decide to part it out.

I'm trying not to part it out but thats what it might come to. The interior is gray. Thanks for the compliment Blue; you're cool.

hmmmm, in retrospect that might have been a little harsh. It was just my natural reaction after reading that long, detailed description summed up with "Overall its a great truck". In all honesty, you'd probably do better parting it out.

I would part it out if I had a better place to store/work on it. Its easy enough to take the bumper and sliders off butt removing the wheels, suspension, etc. would leave me with a cinder blocked car in my driveway. Thats not going to fly with the wife.

Call a u-pull-it place and cut them a deal. They will tow it over and you can take the wheels once it is there. No reason it cannot sit on the bumpstops on the way over for you to keep the suspension.
