Heater core just went out on friday. Bypassed it with some hose, it never got hot, just smelled some coolant in the interior. Ordered a new one which will come with the truck.

Black/tan/166k

Search for previous posts for more details.

evilfij at yahoo dot com with sensible offers starting with a 2. Located outside philadelphia. PA stickers until 7/09

Would also take bids on someone to come to my place and do the heater core, I just don't have the time or inclination.

Needs: cats (still function and pass emission, but rattle), wipers don't park (have used assembly to swap in), accumulator is going (been going for a while, have used one to swap in), rear ABS sensor disabled/broken (who cares), rust in the back of the floor and lower goal post (ugly but fixable, otherwise not a rust bucket at all--seal was bad in that area), one caliper is not functioning as well as it should but you would not notice driving/stopping it.

New: tires have about 5k on them, windscreen, heater fan switch, alternator, water pump, some hoses, always sythetic in everything but the transmission, full 30k service done about 10k ago, oil changed frequently, newer liftgate no rust showing.

Aftermarket goodies: borla, bilsteins, coils

Trevor is supposed to get me a quote to do it and Mike at LR West Chester got me the heater core.

On the plus side, the lotus dealer called and my baby is done at the shop so I can go back to driving that (yes, it is snowing).

Got my eye on Sven's 1999. Why people ruin these trucks with a lift and big tires is beyond me.

I would buy another truck before tackling that heater core job.
Think you will find the bill to replace that will be higher than what the truck is worth.

Eh.

warranty time is 6.15 (it is a 1995 not the horrid earlier ones) so figure warranty x 1.5= 9 hours or so at $80 = $720 plus heater core = under $1000.

I am leaning toward 12v ceramic or one of the auxiliary ones that came in some NAS 110s and NAS 90s.

Ron-I'm a twit! I saw the post offering the Rangie for sale and assumed you were not going to fix the Rangie. Then I saw another post, realised you were still waiting to hear back from me, reached for the phone and couldn't readily find your number.
My apologies.
Let me know if you still like to schedule something.
