I'm in Charlottesville right now and I won't have photos for a week unfortunately. The truck is back in Upperville.

I purchased it last spring just after the transmission died. Unfortunately when swapping in a rebuilt unit the oil gear was damaged.

Mileage is about 150,000. The air suspension was replaced with coil springs and old man emus. The previous owner rewired the sound system as well. Interior is in good condition. Typical corrosion though and there's a good dent in the front right fender. Left rear, exterior, door handle is broken. Wood around the gearshift needs refinishing.

If you happen to live in the Loudoun/Faquier area your more than welcome to stop and check it out. It's parked at British & Classic Car Doctors in Upperville. Just ask for Paul and tell him your looking for Eliot's Rover.

I have an offer for a thousand but he needs to sell his defender first and apparently it isn't moving. Sad story on his end, he bought the truck and titled it in his wife's name for some reason. Now they're getting divorced and he has to sell it.

How much and how bad are the floors and sills?

Does the old trans go with it?

Sills looked okay and the floors passed the screwdriver test but let me get some photos for you. Upper tailgate is good lower shows some signs of rust.

The old trans? The rebuilt unit or the one that the mechanic pulled? The rebuild is in it right now. Let me see what Paul did with the other one.

I just had lunch with Paul at the Blackthorne last week. Some very nice stuff in that shop.

I can take a peak for anyone as I am just a few miles down the road. I need an excuse to hit up Hunters Head or Blackthorne.

Would you take $700 and include the original trans? I don't mean to low ball compared to your original offer, but these tend not to age gracefully in the Northeast. Let me know.
