In 1997, Land Rover Special Vehicles hand crafted 250 limited editions Discovery’s. This is one of them….

In the 3 plus years I have owned it; the odometer has had only 4K miles added. Current odometer reading is 125,000. Am selling as it is just sitting in the garage and I have moved on from Land Rovers. In those 3 years, I did spend considerable resources to restore the areas that needed attention and upgrade those parts that deemed necessary. Have all receipts for those 3 years including receipts from previous owners. When I purchased the XD, it had a clean CarFax history and has never been in a body shop nor has the XD ever been seriously off-roaded.

There is no rust anywhere, glass is good with no cracks or chips. Interior is perfect and paint still has glossy shine. All electrics work perfectly and entire mechanicals are up to date on services. The XD has always lived in a heated garage by a non-smoking owner and has a fresh detail.

New head gaskets, lower pressure hoses (to/from radiator) replaced with custom made hoses (no more leaks!), fuel injection cleaning, ignition wires/plugs replaced, cooling hoses/reservoir replaced, complete brake job (F&R), rear bearings replaced, radiator & fan clutch replaced)

XD comes with all the special factory installed accessories including books & manuals.

Aftermarket upgrades:
· Old Man Emu steering stablizers, medium duty springs and shocks, 2"
lift.
· Dash mounted GPS multi position stalk-mount
· Goodyear Silent Armor Kevlar-reinforced 10 ply radial tires (with transferrable warranty)
· Lugnuts converted to Range Rover style 1 piece units

Thats what they look like

And that doesn't make them worth ten times what another Disco of the same vintage would sell for.

I got an envelope in the mail the other day with a bunch of pictures and BS about a Trek a local guy has for sale. I suppose he forgot he owes me $130 for work done on it that he refused to pay for.

BTW-I wonder if this is the same one that was in the shop at LR PDX when I worked there that ended up really needing an engine, but the owner would only pay for a USED piston/connecting rod assembly...

Sad thing is that he will find someone to pay that price. It will break, and the new owner will curse all things Land Rover to everyone he knows. I say he because most women aren't stupid enough to pay that much for a used xd, most.........

First post and it is in a for sale section.... Plus I "like" how some people post their ads with an explanation of how rare/unique a specific vehicle is. Sheet I know the basics of it and do not need to hear it again, just shows how out of sync they are with the general knowledge of people on here.

Can't seem to remember what I was asking for mine with the 4.6 and the trailer...
$9350 WITH the trailer. That trailer was easily worth $3000.

Plus, didn't you have a 4.6?

Tillery sold an XD on ebay for something like $7,800 not very long ago.

This guys price is high, but it's not out of the park for an XD in that condition. The rack and seat covers are worth more than most trucks.

All that may be true, but it's also true that neither you, nor I would consider paying anywhere near that much for ANY Disco.

I would pay that for the right truck. That's not the right truck for me, though. If I were shopping and found a truck set up much like mine is now, but with under 80k miles and cherry paint/body/interior, I would pay that.

The XD's bring more money, though. That's about as nice of an XD as I've seen in a while. All original, too. I bet it goes for $8,500. It might take a bit to sell, but it will sell.
