1999 P38 $7200 obo

***Price Change to $5800***

::THIS IS NOT MY TRUCK:: 1999 Range Rover 4.0SE. 106k miles. Super Duper clean! I replaced a perfectly good air susp sytem with springs for this guy. I put around 100 miles on this truck (he told me to drive it) and it ran out pretty well. I think it could use a motor mount and a tune up. The guy just wants to be rid of it due to the fact he mostly drives his H2 blaaaH. Anyway...he wants $7200. If that is a bit much for ya then shoot me an offer. Yes I will donate to the site if sold.

p.s.
Some one make me an offer on the 442. You know the redkneck inside wants it

I get the feeling Disco Web members like to hate on the P38. Might try someplace else.

its not the hate the p38 because its a nice looking rig... the problem with the damn thing is the ownership cost between 80k miles or so and 130k miles. you are pretty much guaranteed a bad becm, transfer case vc issue, cats rattling, air ride issues, abs failure, leaky o ring in heater core, a window regulator or two locking up, 02 sensor replacement just to name a few.

i had a p38 here last year...nice truck with all receipts since purchased brand new...
58000 dollars the guy had spent on that truck in 8 years... and the truck isnt worth a tenth of its "brand new" price.

just 2 questions for the seller...why does it need a motor mount? did he bypass the heater core?

Damn Will sshhhh! Your not helping here. haha. Shit. Forgot about the heater core. Not trying to hide anything...really just forgot to include it. As far as the motor mount is concerned I plan to replace it before it goes home with its new owner...if that ever happens. Yeah, it's a P38 so every one knows the risk involved. That's why I stick to my RRC's. I do have to say that when everything is working a P38 is a nice drive.

Well I can say it's probably a lot cheaper to maintain if you change out bad parts yourself rather than taking it to the stealership for everything. Mine is in great shape, barely ever used off road. I may keep it, or may just sell it. It seems to keep getting ragged on a lot because it's not a County and electronics scare everyone to death. Finding a County in as good a shape as the 38 is going to be hard to do. I don't like just ANY County either, the only one I really like is the 95 with the newer style dash.

its not... if you do it yourself...again like lc4life said...
The problem with these trucks point blank is you are buying a truck that sold for 50k plus when new...depending on the model.
Folks are now picking them up for 4-6k ..... BUT you are stilling buying parts for a 50k plus cost truck
IF not you are buying used and with the common failures on the p38 you are truly rolling the dice.

Really in all honesty what it boils down to is "if you wanna play like a playa you must pay like a playa"
