I’ve come to the conclusion I am going to have to do something with my Disco. Anti-freeze is getting into the oil and no small amount either. It’s been sitting in the garage for about four months now, I had planned on at least seeing what went wrong, but it’s day as a DD are past and I found a Silverado to pull my sons bike to the races, which for the last year that’s all we had used the Discovery for.

A list of what’s wrong with it:
• Motor
• ABS/brake lights on. Test book says it’s the modulator, I have one here
from Will T I never got around to putting on.
• Tailgate doesn’t open, needs new actuator.
• Armrest off driver’s side seat, plus the heated seat doesn’t work anymore.
• Console cracked, but with the rubber piece on you can’t really tell.
• Tires, it had new ones on it, but I took them off and used on truck.
• Headliner falling slightly.

That’s the bad as I know it. Yes we did pull a 6x12 enclosed trailer with it, but not often and never very far.

I had a tow truck pull my wife out of the snow, while doing so he cracked the front bumper. I replaced it with one that eliminates the fogs and gives it more of the DI look. I have also installed one of those boxes that lets you use an aftermarket CD changer and keep steering wheel controls.

The body and inside are in great shape, it’s was garage kept and has never been off road, hell you could most likely count the times on one hand the traction control has engaged.

For sentimental reasons I really don’t want to see it parted out, it would make a great trail truck for someone. But if worse comes to worse I just might part out enough to make it worth my while and drag the rest behind the house and give the damn thing a proper burial.

I’ll entertain all reasonable offers, but understand you will have to come get it. I live in southern Indiana about an hour from Evansville or Louisville. I can provide pictures to anyone that wants them.

One more thing, it had dealer service checks through 85k.

The only problem is a trimmed grille for the RTE/winch that was on it

I will trade you a bumper and a perfect grill for the RTE/winch. Ill throw in a good spare cover to cover shipping.
